Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a NC or compact license and BLS/PALS certifications.

• Work in the Cardiovascular Pediatric ICU (CVPICU) at a hospital setting
• Primary patient population includes critically ill pediatric and cardiovascular patients
• Day shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 to 19:30)
• Every other weekend is required
• Float to other applicable units as needed
• Bi-weekly orientation sessions are provided
• Responsibilities include providing advanced, specialized care for pediatric cardiovascular ICU patients
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Locals are accepted within a 75-mile radius
• Annual and assignment-specific modules are completed during orientation or the first week
• Team environment with support-oriented structure
• Holiday coverage may be required as part of the schedule
• Adherence to unit’s dress code and PPE requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum of 2 years of experience strongly preferred; candidates with less experience may be considered
• Current BLS and PALS certifications are required
• Experience in Pediatric CICU, NICU, Pediatric Stepdown, or Pediatric nursing is required
• One supervisory reference from the past year is required for consideration
• Full SSN and date of birth must be provided for compliance
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions or declinations accepted
