Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) night shift assignment requiring a NC or compact license, with strong preference for recent pediatric critical care experience.

• Work in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) within a hospital setting
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours per week from 19:00 to 07:30
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to other units required as needed
• Patient population includes pediatric cardiovascular and critical care cases
• Bi-weekly orientation sessions offered to incoming staff
• Responsibilities include providing specialized care to pediatric cardiovascular ICU patients
• Open to first-time travelers
• Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are accepted
• Time off requests should be limited to 5-7 days
• Orientation includes required learning modules, both during and following orientation week
• Annual completion of specialty-specific learning modules is required

• Active NC or compact state RN license in hand prior to consideration
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years recent pediatric ICU, PCICU, NICU, pediatric stepdown, or pediatric RN experience strongly preferred
• Full SSN and date of birth must be provided for compliance purposes
• One supervisory reference from within the past year required
• Flu vaccination is required with no exemptions permitted
