Duke University Health System seeks to hire an experienced Registered Nurse who will embrace our mission of Advancing Health Together.

The Duke Pediatric Intensive Care Unit is a 16‑bed unit in a Level I Trauma Center. Areas of subspecialty expertise include cardiovascular surgery, respiratory failure, neurosurgery, stem cell transplantation, immunodeficiencies, hematologic and oncologic emergencies, sepsis, multi‑organ system dysfunction,beitet et and congenital heart disease. Available advanced̆ treatment modalities FONT for these critical care patients include Extracorporeal Life Support (ECoreshactic reverse) (ECMO), high‑frequency ventilation, nitric oxide therapy, and non‑invasive ventilation.

Ideal candidates would be able to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and seek opportunities for professional development.

Full Time: 3, 12 hour shifts. 7a/7p, Day/Night rotating. սակայն 36 hours per week.

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures. Use professional nursing judgment to individualize the plan of care based on assessment of the patient’s baseline needs and response to care.
• Delegate tasks and supervise the activities of其他 licensed and unlicensed care providers.
• Assist other nursing personnel repetitions of the delivery of nursing care and act as team leader or charge nurse for a group desember of patients or an entire unit as assigned.
• Participate in one’s own professional development by maintaining required competencies, identifying learning needs and seeking appropriate assistance or educational offerings.
• Act as preceptor and support the development of other staff and formal learners.
• Participate in the identification of clinical or operational performance improvement opportunities and in performance improvement activities.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

• Multitask in myriad ways – document assessments, plan of care, interventions, evaluation and re‑evaluation of patient status, access nursing needs of acute and chronically ill patients, independently seek out resources and work collaboratively. Educate patients and families in accordance with the nursing plan of care. Relationship management with patients, families, visitors, healthcare team, physicians, administrators, leadership and others.
