Travel RN - Pediatric ICU - Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU RN with a NC or compact license and 1+ years of experience for day shift coverage.

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required in hand
• Current certifications:
  Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Pediatric CVICU, Pediatric Step Down, or PICU experience preferred
• Experience with congenital heart disease/repair, ECMO, post cardiac surgery, and hemodynamic monitoring preferred
• Skills in ventilator management, arterial line management, and central line care preferred
• 1 supervisory professional reference from within the last year required for consideration
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions or declinations accepted

• Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) setting within a teaching hospital
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM), 3x12 or 4x12 hour schedules accepted
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required
• Epic charting system preferred
• Bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in a cardiovascular ICU setting, including those with congenital heart disease and post-cardiac surgery needs
• Monitor and manage patients on ECMO, ventricular assist devices, and hemodynamic monitoring equipment as needed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius, with lower bill rate applying
• Candidates with prior permanent employment at this health system must not have been employed there within the past 6 months
• RTO requests limited to a maximum of 5-7 days
