Veterinary Technician - Overnight at Blue Pearl Pet Hospital is a role for experienced Veterinary Technicians to work in our busy Emergency and Critical Care department. The pay range is $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
, starting point dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system.

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases as they arrive, including obtaining vitals (temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure).
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning.
• Understand normal ranges of patient vital signs (heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure, oxygen saturation).
• Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs; alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Calculate medical dosages (including infusions) and administer medications via appropriate routes and durations.
• Proficiently perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters in peripheral vessels.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
• Mentor and train other co-workers; demonstrate patience and empathy in addressing client concerns.
