Postdoctoral Fellow – Computational Approaches to Malaria Parasite Antigen Diversity
Position within Duke Global Health Institute, based in Durham, NC. One position available immediately. Potential time working with partners at field site in Kenya.
Qualifications- Doctoral degree in a relevant quantitative field (epidemiology, bioinformatics, statistics, computer science, engineering, etc.)
- Experience or basic understanding of high‑dimensional data analysis, genome‑scale analysis, genetic data analysis, epidemiology, translational research, molecular epidemiology.
- Good communication skills and teamwork essential.
- Advanced programming ability, preferably R.
- Candidates from statistics, bioinformatics, epidemiology, molecular biology, immunology all considered.
- Lead project activities: refining analytic approaches, conceptualizing research questions, implementing data analysis best practices, analyzing data.
- Communicate research findings with project partners, engage with field partners, draft manuscripts.
- Work closely with project investigators at Duke, Johns Hopkins, Moi University, KEMRI‑Welcome Trust Research Program and research staff in Eldoret, Kenya.

Annual base salary range starts at USD $64,170.
