Managed Generator Services LLC (MGS) is seeking a highly skilled Generator Technician (A-Level) to join our Field Operations team. This is not your average technician role—we're looking for a true leader in the field who can independently diagnose, repair, and maintain generators up to and beyond 2000 kW. Responsibilities- Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting of engines, electrical systems, and generator controllers.
- Conduct load bank testing and system commissioning.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Handle emergency repairs and after-hours diagnostics when needed.
- Support new equipment installations and major repairs.
- Document work clearly, communicate with the office, and ensure job completion to standard.
- Mentor junior technicians and lead by example in the field.
- 5+ years of hands‑on generator service experience required.
- Master-level knowledge of generator systems, including major brands (Kohler, Generac, Cummins/Onan).
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities.
- Willingness to travel to out of town jobsites.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in diverse field environments.
- EPA, EGSA, and OEM certifications are a strong plus.
- Strong time management, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Full-time, 4-day work week
LocationHybrid role; requires fieldwork and occasional travel. Base location will be coordinated depending on project and candidate location.
