Field Service Technician/Mechanic – Carolina Handling

Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting: identify and diagnose electro‑mechanical problems with equipment, and perform installations and repairs as needed.
  • Customer Interaction: interact directly with customers to understand concerns, recommend solutions, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Professionalism: represent the company positively, fostering goodwill through superior customer service.
  • Repair Work: execute repairs efficiently and effectively.
  • Scheduled Maintenance: perform scheduled maintenance tasks on equipment for contracted customers according to company policies and procedures.
  • Inventory Management: maintain parts and supplies inventory in your service van.
  • Van Maintenance: ensure the service van is properly maintained and stocked.
  • Safety Compliance: adhere to safety and housekeeping guidelines when performing repairs at customer sites.
  • Other Duties: perform any other duties as assigned to support the company’s overall operations.
Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of related education, training, or experience in maintenance, repair, or installation.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and electronic systems; ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
