MSI-Viking is seeking an experienced Electronic Calibration Technician to perform calibration, troubleshooting, repair, and certification of electronic and electro-mechanical measuring and test equipment.
This role is a great fit for someone with strong electronic metrology experience who enjoys hands‑on technical work, troubleshooting, and working with high‑precision instrumentation in an ISO/IEC 17025 environment.
Responsibilities- Perform calibration, adjustment, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic and electro‑mechanical measuring and test equipment
- Complete calibrations in accordance with company procedures, manufacturer specifications, and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements
- Utilize multifunction calibrators, including Fluke 5500A and 5700A series equipment
- Operate high‑precision instrumentation such as Keysight 3458A and Fluke 8588A multimeters
- Complete calibration certificates and maintain accurate documentation and service records
- Update calibration and gage tracking software
- Troubleshoot equipment and identify repair or adjustment needs
- Assist with maintaining laboratory standards and equipment
- Maintain productivity, quality, and documentation standards
- Travel to customer sites as needed to perform on‑site calibration services
- Work with customers and internal teams to meet turnaround times and service expectations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- 3-5 years of electronic metrology, calibration, PMEL, or related experience, or successful completion of a PMEL or equivalent metrology training program
- Experience with multifunction calibrators such as Fluke 5500A and 5700A series equipment
- Experience with high‑precision instrumentation such as Keysight 3458A and Fluke 8588A multimeters
- Strong electronic troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems is a plus
- METCAL experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows‑based applications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Customer‑focused and professional approach
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to travel as needed
