Software Engineer in Test

Client is seeking a Software Engineer in Test to join our dynamic team in Westlake, TX. This role is ideal for a hands-on tester with a development background who will design and implement automation frameworks, test APIs, and leverage Java and AWS Cloud expertise to ensure system quality and performance.

• Lead the development and implementation of automation frameworks from scratch.
• Conduct extensive API testing to ensure seamless integration.
• Develop and execute tests using Java and the Rest Assured framework.
• Validate database integrity and accuracy using SQL.
• Apply AWS Cloud knowledge to testing and cloud-based solutions.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Continuously identify opportunities for test process improvement and automation.

• 5+ years of experience in API testing and automation.
• Hands-on Java development experience; preferably someone who tests their own code or has a development background.
• Practical experience with the Rest Assured framework for API automation.
• Experience working in a Dev Ops environment, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of SQL for database validation.
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud environments and services.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve high-quality outcomes.

• Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Prior exposure to Agile methodologies and collaborative software development.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
