Full Stack Developer - Backend Focus

Piper Companies is looking for a Full Stack Developer - Backend Focus to join a global advertising agency located in Durham, NC in a hybrid role (Tues‑Thurs onsite) to design and build integrated, scalable solutions for data‑driven and AI‑powered applications.

• Develop and maintain backend systems and APIs to integrate multiple platforms and ingest large‑scale data for analytics and creative pipelines.
• Architect and orchestrate enterprise‑grade solutions that support emerging technologies, including AI‑driven applications and agentic platforms.
• Collaborate across development, operations, and product teams to deliver secure, scalable, and innovative solutions for global campaigns.
• Build prototypes for experimental projects, retrofit enterprise features, and design for scalability in cloud environments.

• 8+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on backend engineering.
• Expertise in Python (primary language) and proficiency in multiple programming languages for backend development.
• Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs and working with cloud platforms (GCP preferred; AWS experience highly valued).
• Familiarity with front‑end principles and ability to contribute to UI development when needed.
• Hands‑on experience with AI technologies, including OpenAI or similar frameworks, and a passion for emerging tech.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; advanced certifications in cloud or AI technologies preferred.

• Salary Range: $150,000–$170,000 annually (based on experience).
