Position: Full Stack Developer - Backend Focus with Security Clearance
Piper Companies is looking for a Full Stack Developer - Backend Focus to join a global advertising agency located in Durham, NC in a hybrid role (Tues-Thurs onsite) to design and build integrated, scalable solutions for data-driven and AI-powered applications. Responsibilities for the Full Stack Developer - Backend Focus:
* Develop and maintain backend systems and APIs to integrate multiple platforms and ingest large-scale data for analytics and creative pipelines.
* Architect and orchestrate enterprise-grade solutions that support emerging technologies, including AI-driven applications and agentic platforms.
* Collaborate across development, operations, and product teams to deliver secure, scalable, and innovative solutions for global campaigns.
* Build prototypes for experimental projects, retrofit enterprise features, and design for scalability in cloud environments. Qualifications for the Full Stack Developer - Backend Focus:
* 8+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on backend engineering.
* Expertise in Python (primary language) and proficiency in multiple programming languages for backend development.
* Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs and working with cloud platforms (GCP preferred; AWS experience highly valued).
* Familiarity with front-end principles and ability to contribute to UI development when needed.
* Hands-on experience with AI technologies, including OpenAI or similar frameworks, and a passion for emerging tech.
* Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; advanced certifications in cloud or AI technologies preferred. Compensation/Benefits for the Full Stack Developer - Backend Focus:
* Salary Range: $135,000-$155,000 annually (based on experience).
