As a Software Development Engineer IV, you will plan, design, develop and test software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products, including cloud‑based or internet‑related tools. You’ll report to the Senior Manager, Engineering. This is a remote opportunity within commuting distance.

• Plan, design, develop and test software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products, including cloud‑based or internet‑related tools.
• Progress the development of the tax content delivery system.
• Guide the full life‑cycle of software development, including analysis, design, implementation and testing of new projects and features.
• Build next generation services and APIs to support distributing content to the entire company as part of a globally distributed agile software engineering team.
• Complete necessary deliverables and contribute to the vision and architecture of the new Content Platform.
• Work with product and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and obtain approval.
• Provide production support.
• Telecommute from within commuting distance.

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 6 months of progressive, post‑baccalaureate experience in a software development‑related occupation, including 6 months of experience in each of the following:
• Python, C#, Java, or other modern languages used in backend systems.
• Designing and documenting REST APIs.
• Postgres, No
  
  SQL or other RDBS such as SQL Server.
• API security fundamentals.
• Distributed source control tools and development workflow (git or source control alternatives).
• Testing strategies and tools.
• AWS Glue or other ETL service such as SSIS.
• Certification in AWS Solutions Architect.
• Education or experience in AI/ML.

All experience may be gained concurrently. All qualification claims will undergo rigorous verification to ensure accuracy.

40+ hours per week; $ per year.

Base pay may be based on various factors, such as geographic location, candidate experience, and qualifications.

This role is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
