Overview

[2025 - 2026] Bus Drivers (CDL required, starting at $18 per hour) – Join to apply for the role at CHURCHILL HOUSE VIP EVENTS. ROLE OVERVIEW:
To transport students to and from school and other designated sites and ensure the safety of the student passengers while operating a school bus. Reporting to the Transportation Manager and the Transportation Assistant Manager, with accountability to the Director of Transportation. As a KIPP ENC school bus driver, you will comply with all NC School Bus Safety laws in accordance with the NC Department of Transportation.

• Provide a safe, healthy, consistent, positive, caring environment for children and staff
• Promote a positive student culture and ensure happy, healthy students and parents
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with management and co-workers
• Report to work daily and on time
• Complete pre- and post-trip bus inspections daily
• Drive safely and efficiently and adhere to all NC traffic laws
• Exercise good judgment and extreme caution while operating a school bus
• Timely report all mechanical issues to the Transportation Assistant Manager or Transportation Manager
• Perform periodic drills as required by state law
• Attend safety, first aid, and Safe Schools Training online
• Be accountable for student management and discipline
• Discuss bus expectations with student passengers
• Timely complete Bus Conduct reports on students not meeting expectations

• Must be at least 18 years old
• A minimum of six (6) months of driving experience
• Must have an NC driver's license for a minimum of six (6) months
• No major traffic violations in two (2) years
• Valid NCDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
• Valid NCDOT medical card
• Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening
