Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.
*** Work schedule is: 10:00am - 6:30pm, Monday - Friday. Must be able to work until completion due to business needs. This could be up to a 12-hour shift. Also, must be willing to work the last Saturday of each month.**
* *** What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
*** Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

*** Job Summary
*** The primary purpose of the Lead Warehouse Associate is to support the Warehouse Supervisor on the warehouse floor and to facilitate effective operation through direction of warehouse staff, in accordance with site priorities. This job also delegates work among the warehouse staff and produces reports on workforce productivity and quality. The Lead Associate may also communicate with customers outside the warehouse to convey disruptions, provide updates on delivery time frames and ensure customer satisfaction.

*** Responsibilities:
**** Training new employees on company and departmental procedures as appropriate
* Measuring safety, productivity, and quality standards and ensuring they are met
* Coordinating housekeeping, inventory control, and complying with all QRA and safety requirement
* Supporting employees in the distribution center in all functions, including:
Unloading trucks by hand and with the use of material handling equipment, Accurately breaking down and stocking freight in accordance with QRA standards and local procedures, Order processing (accurately picking, checking, sorting, consolidating freight, wrapping pallets, packing, and loading products)
* Leading team meetings
* Solving minor issues
* Working in production as needed

* Qualifications:

**** Excellent interpersonal, organizational and follow up skills
* 3-5 years experience in a warehouse/distribution (pick/pack/ship) environment preferred
* High school diploma or degree preferred
* Proficient in Microsoft office, Excel knowledge preferred to manage daily active reports
* Great communication skills
* Prior knowledge working with a WMS system
* Previous experience leading a team and sharing feedback with employees
* Ability to operate warehouse material handling equipment (PIT preferred) and RF equipment
