Management Accountant

Assistant Management Accountant (6-Month Fixed-Term Contract) Huntingdon £30,000-£40,000 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a business in Huntingdon on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

This role offers the chance to play a key part in supporting financial operations, providing valuable commercial insight, and contributing to a fast-paced, evolving environment. If all goes well this could become a permanent position for the right person. This position would suit an experienced finance professional who enjoys taking ownership, working closely with operational stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement across finance processes.

Key Responsibilities Support monthly management accounts production and reporting deadlines. Manage balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls. Oversee purchase ledger activities and assist with overhead cost analysis. Perform daily banking, expenses, and credit control activities. Analyse product margins and project costs, providing meaningful insight to operational teams. Support budgeting, forecasting, cashflow reporting, and wider finance projects. About You At least three years' experience in a similar accounting role.

Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is highly desirable. AAT qualified or studying towards a professional accountancy qualification. Strong Excel and systems skills. Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to meet deadlines in a busy environment. Confident communicator with a positive, hands-on approach.
