Position: Estimators (all levels)
Location: County Durham

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting Estimators at all levels for a leading family owned building contractor based in County Durham working across Commercial Build and Residential projects.

To support the companies continued growth, we're looking for estimators of all levels to join our high-performing pre-construction team.

Candidates are invited to apply who are:
- A trainee or assistant estimator ready for your next step
- An estimator looking to broaden your experience
- A senior estimator preparing to progress into a managing estimator role

What you'll be doing:
Preparing competitive tenders across a diverse range of projects
Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
Producing accurate take-offs and cost estimates
Obtaining and assessing supplier and subcontractor quotations
Identifying value engineering and cost-saving opportunities
Responding to client queries and attending tender meetings
Collaborating with our design, commercial and operations teams
Carrying out occasional site visits

What we're looking for:

Experience as an estimator within a main contractor environment
Strong knowledge of construction methods and pricing
The ability to measure works and prepare costs independently
Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
Strong communication, organisational and IT skills
A proactive, positive and collaborative approach

Experience with Causeway is advantageous but not essential.
