What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting children across EYFS to KS2, including whole-class, group, and 1:1 interventions
  • Working with pupils with a range of needs, including SEMH, behavioural challenges, emotional dysregulation, and EHCPs
  • Delivering or assisting with phonics interventions (experience with Read Write Inc., Jolly Phonics, or Sounds Write is desirable)
  • Running or supporting therapy-based interventions for small groups or individuals
  • Using positive behaviour management approaches - experience with PACE and Team Teach is highly desirable
  • Helping children manage their emotions and feel safe, supported, and confident in school

What we're looking for:

  • Level 2 qualification or higher in a relevant field (e.g. Teaching Assistant, Education, Early Years, Child Psychology, or Early Childhood Studies)
  • Experience supporting children across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
  • Strong background in 1:1 support, particularly with SEMH and lower ability learners
  • Knowledge or experience in phonics and academic interventions
  • A nurturing, calm, and proactive approach with excellent communication skills
  • A willingness to adapt and contribute positively in both mainstream and SEN settings
