About the role Our placements last for 12 months, working across both design and construction teams, to offer the broadest exposure to the industry, working on real-world projects that make a difference in communities. It’s a great chance to get involved with live projects while gaining experience relevant to your degree. This role is working for our Northumbrian Water framework, so travel around their region is required.
What you’ll do Working with your senior QS you will manage all aspects of commercial and cost management of a project including paying subcontractors, raising notices, and completing cost to completes. Ensure that proper records, including final accounts, are kept and maintained so financial information for audits and cost assurance is readily available. Develop contract management skills, understanding the New Engineering Contract (NEC) and how change control works. Promote
our quality, cost, and efficiency strategy to ensure everyone is minimising costs and maximising value. What you'll need You must be studying a full-time undergraduate degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn. Valid UK driving licence to travel to sites
