Crowe Watson Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Durham as they seek an experienced Private Client Tax Manager to join their growing tax team. The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of private clients, including high net worth individuals, trusts, and partnerships, while playing an active role in developing junior team members and supporting the firm's continued growth.

What is the day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage a varied portfolio of private clients, ensuring compliance and advisory work is delivered to a high standard
  • Provide tax planning advice on income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax matters
  • Review tax returns prepared by junior members of the team and provide constructive feedback
  • Liaise directly with clients, HMRC, and other professional advisers
  • Support business development activities and help identify opportunities for additional client services

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
  • Previous experience working within a UK Practice environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of private client tax matters
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
  • Proven ability to manage and develop junior staff
