Accounts Assistant

We are delighted to be partnering with a client based in Durham who a group of companies who are continuing to grow. They are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their existing finance team, this is a full time permanent opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales ledger management and credit control
• Purchase ledger processing
• Reconciliation of bank and supplier statements
• Handling and reconciliation of cash
• Assisting with nominal ledger reconciliations (or working towards this)
• Supporting the Accountant with month-end tasks to enable the production of monthly management accounts
• Working collaboratively with the wider finance team

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounts Assistant.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
• A genuine interest in being part of a team and growing with the company.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to a dynamic environment.
