Location: West Rainton
Permanent accounting technician post in the finance team at Cumbria Combined Authority, a newly formed body still building its finance service. The core work is transactional finance: processing invoices and credit notes, carrying out bank and VAT reconciliations, and keeping the ledger accurate and up to date. The post is hybrid, with a minimum share of hours spent in the office, and is primarily technical rather than managerial.
An AAT qualification or equivalent is expected.
- Process invoices and credit notes accurately and on time
- Carry out bank reconciliations
- Carry out VAT reconciliations
- Maintain the ledger
- Provide flexible and reliable transactional finance support to the Authority
- AAT qualification or equivalent practitioner standard
- Strong attention to detail
- Sound financial systems knowledge
- Flexible working across a developing finance service
