As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Senior Recruitment Consultant to play a pivotal role in driving business growth and mentoring junior team members.

This opportunity is based at our newly refurbished office in Mandale Business Park, just outside Durham City Centre.

The Role

As a Senior Recruitment Consultant, you will take ownership of a high-performing desk, managing the full 360° recruitment cycle for white-collar permanent roles within the construction industry. You will work with an established client base while actively developing new relationships and contributing to strategic business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead recruitment activity across a defined market, delivering high-quality placements

* Strengthen relationships with key clients and identify new business opportunities

* Provide mentorship and guidance to junior consultants

* Contribute to strategic planning and business development initiatives

* Maintain a consultative approach with clients and candidates, adding value throughout

* Represent Elvet Recruitment professionally at networking events and industry forums

Candidate Profile

We are seeking an experienced recruitment professional with a proven track record in permanent placements, ideally within the construction or technical sectors. You should be commercially astute, self-motivated, and capable of operating with autonomy.

Essential Attributes:

* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a 360° recruitment role

* Strong business development and relationship management skills

* Ability to mentor and support junior colleagues

* Professional presentation and communication skills
