About the Role As a Court of Protection Solicitor , you will manage a varied caseload involving deputyship applications, mental capacity issues, and safeguarding vulnerable clients.

You will provide expert advice and representation in Court of Protection proceedings.

Key Responsibilities Handle all aspects of Court of Protection work including deputyship applications and statutory wills Advise clients on mental capacity law and best interests decisions Draft legal documents and prepare applications for the Court of Protection Liaise with clients, families, and professional deputies Maintain compliance with regulatory and firm standards Deliver exceptional client care and build strong relationships Requirements Qualified Solicitor (NQ considered) with experience or interest in Court of Protection work Strong knowledge of mental capacity law and private client matters Excellent communication and client care skills Ability to manage a busy caseload independently Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office Benefits Competitive salary (depending on experience) Generous holiday allowance and pension scheme Hybrid working options Ongoing training and career development opportunities Supportive and inclusive team culture Location This role is based in Reading, Berkshire , with excellent transport links to Wokingham, Maidenhead, and Newbury.
