Are you a hands-on, practical professional who takes pride in creating safe, well-maintained environments? Our client is looking for a dedicated School Site Manager to join a welcoming secondary school in Durham, offering a permanent, full-time opportunity for someone ready to make a real difference behind the scenes.

  • Permanent, full-time role within a welcoming secondary school

  • Opportunity to become a valued part of the Durham school community

  • Varied, rewarding role covering maintenance, facilities, safety and site operations

A well-run school starts with a safe and well-cared-for environment, and the School Site Manager plays a vital part in making that happen. From keeping the premises in excellent condition to coordinating repairs, overseeing site security and helping ensure health and safety standards are met, your work will support the everyday experience of both students and staff.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and seeing the results of their hard work. Whether you already have experience in a school environment or bring transferable facilities and maintenance skills, this role offers the chance to become an important part of a busy educational community.

Requirements
  • Experience in facilities management, maintenance, site supervision or a similar role is preferred

  • A practical understanding of building upkeep, health and safety and site security

  • A proactive attitude and the confidence to tackle issues as they arise

  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload

  • A friendly, approachable manner and the ability to work well with staff and contractors

  • Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for daily site operations

  • Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to complete the necessary checks

  • Must have the right to work in the UK

If you're ready to bring your practical skills, positive attitude and commitment to a school that values a safe and welcoming environment, we'd love to hear from you.
