Smart Manufacturing Solutions are recruiting on behalf of one of our clients. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Fabricator to join the production team. You'll be responsible for manufacturing high-quality products from engineering drawings while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications.
- Fabricate components to the required quality standards.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets drawing specifications and company quality procedures.
- Complete production paperwork accurately and record stock where required.
- Remove burrs and ensure all parts are clearly identified.
- Prepare and palletise finished products for the next stage of production.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Carry out routine equipment maintenance checks.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and wear the required PPE.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production and quality targets.
- Complete additional duties within your competency as required by Team Leaders or Management.
Requirements
- Previous fabrication experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work safely, independently, and efficiently to meet production targets.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible approach and willingness to support different areas of production when required.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety.
- Forklift licence is desirable but not essential.
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday 7:00am - 4:00pm
Friday 7:00am - 11:00am
