Working inside vessels and at height on tanker access platforms, with relevant safety training provided. Managing your own equipment, purge arrangements and daily workload to keep projects on schedule. Proven experience welding stainless steel from 1mm to 10mm. Strong TIG and MIG welding skills.
Experience with back-purging and hygienic pipework welding. The ability to produce high-integrity welds capable of passing NDT, radiography, dye penetrant and hydro testing. Strong technical drawing and fabrication skills. The ability to work independently and build accurately from drawings. Experience working in confined spaces and/or at height would be advantageous. Excellent attention to detail and high personal standards. A genuine pride in producing quality workmanship.
A practical welding assessment may form part of the interview process. What's on offer? 45-hour working week Monday–Thursday: 7:00am–5:00pm Friday: 7:00am–2:00pm — an early finish for the weekend Competitive pay (£17-£20 per hour) based on experience and skill level Overtime opportunities Varied and specialist fabrication projects The opportunity to take full ownership of complete vessel builds Safety training provided Company pension scheme On-site parking Specialist welding equipment, PPE and air-fed helmets provided A role where your craftsmanship matters If you're looking to move away from repetitive production work and want the opportunity to work on interesting, high-specification vessels from start to finish, our client can offer a role where your experience, skill and attention to detail are genuinely valued.
