An exceptional opportunity for a visionary Headteacher to lead a specialist school supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), SEND and related learning needs. This role offers strategic leadership, culture building, and an environment where every young person can thrive.
The OpportunityAs Headteacher, you will lead the school, oversee curriculum development, and champion safeguarding, wellbeing, and teaching standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic leadership across all aspects of school life
- Driving excellence in teaching, learning and pupil outcomes
- Leading and developing a high-performing multidisciplinary team
- Creating an ambitious and personalised curriculum for pupils with SEND
- Ensuring outstanding safeguarding and pastoral provision
- Building strong partnerships with families, local services and the wider community
- Leading quality assurance, school improvement and regulatory compliance
- Developing future leaders and fostering a culture of professional growth
You will be an experienced senior leader or Headteacher with a proven track record of improving outcomes and inspiring teams.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Significant leadership experience within education
- Strong knowledge of SEND, ASC and inclusive educational practice
- A proven record of driving school improvement and raising standards
- Experience of leading and developing staff teams
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic vision combined with operational excellence
- A passion for improving the life chances of children and young people
- NPQH or equivalent leadership qualifications would be advantageous
