Position: English Teacher (LTS)

Duxbury High School is seeking exceptional candidates for the position of English Teacher (Long Term Substitute) starting on or about March 23, 2026 for the remainder of the  school year. It is expected that this position will not become a permanent position.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university
  • Classroom management skills that support students' social-emotional learning
  • Ability to partner with families to meet the needs of all learners
  • Experience meeting the needs of diverse learners
  • Ability to plan and implement lessons that are aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks - English Language Arts and Literacy for grades 9-12.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current certification from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education English Language Arts (5-12).
