2nd Assistant Golf Professional: PGA Apprentice / LPGA Associate

The 2nd Assistant Professional will assist the Head Professional with all activities involved in running a successful golf operation. Duties will include, but not be limited to, golf shop merchandising, tournament operations, and outside operations.

The 2 nd Assistant Professional should be personable, hardworking, and a team player;
Duxbury Yacht Club is a very collegial environment. They must have exceptional attention to detail and excellent computer skills. Provide quality service to Club members and guests. Most importantly, the candidate must be committed to his/her career with aspirations of eventually obtaining their own Head Professional position.

The 2 nd Assistant Golf Professional will possess a strong commitment to the game of golf and acquiring teaching skills; eager to learn all aspects in running a private golf operation; strong written and verbal communication skills; high level of initiative and proactive posture in working with members, especially our golf committees, and the ability to bring credibility and stature to the golf operations in the atmosphere of a private club.

Entry-level position:
Must enroll in the PGA Apprentice Program, or LPGA (TEP), if not already at a qualified level.

• Responsible for working with the 1stAssistant in coordinating Junior Golf Day and the PGA Junior Team, as well as developing and executing an exceptional, overall Junior Golf Instructional Program.
• Responsible for Team activities related to all Club golf events, including tournament setup, execution, scoring, and communicating results.
• Assistants should make themselves available to play with varied groups of members.
• Promotes the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and service for the benefit of the club and the game of golf.
• Work towards becoming a member of the PGA of America and/or the LPGA.
