Position SummaryCasa Healthcare is seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to support our network of seven long-term care facilities across Northwest Indiana. The Electrician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical systems throughout each facility, ensuring all components and equipment are safe, efficient, and compliant with healthcare and state regulations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and fully functional environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, components, and equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical panels, lighting, generators, and control systems
- Install and maintain wiring, outlets, switches, fixtures, and other electrical components according to code
- Diagnose and correct electrical malfunctions in facility equipment and building systems
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal electrical and safety codes
- Coordinate repairs to minimize downtime and disruptions to operations
- Assist with energy‑efficiency initiatives and system upgrades across all facilities
- Maintain accurate service logs, maintenance records, and documentation
- Support the maintenance team with general facility upkeep as needed
- High school diploma or GED required
- Licensed or certified Electrician (state requirements apply)
- Minimum of 3 years of electrical maintenance experience; healthcare or commercial setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, systems, codes, and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Familiarity with OSHA safety protocols and NFPA standards
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely work in various indoor/outdoor environments
- Reliable transportation to travel between all Casa Healthcare facilities
