Overview

Due to continuous growth at ERMCO, we are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Buyer to join our team. You will source and procure goods and services—including raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies—while ensuring quality, cost‑effectiveness, and timely delivery.

• Review requisitions, production schedules, and MRP reports to determine purchasing needs.
• Communicate with suppliers to obtain information on pricing, availability, and delivery timelines.
• Evaluate and select products through testing, observation, or examination.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and bid requests.
• Maintain inventory levels to support production schedules and meet financial targets.
• Source production components from approved vendors and foster strong supplier relationships.
• Review bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary and authority guidelines.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchases, costs, delivery performance, and inventory data.
• Collaborate with quality control and suppliers to resolve issues with defective or non‑compliant goods or services.
• Approve invoices for payment and expedite deliveries as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required (Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field a plus).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (including military experience).
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze data, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail.
