Adjunct Instructor Business (Pool)
Dyersburg State Community College invites applicants for Business adjunct instructors for day, evening, and online classes held in Dyersburg, Covington, Paris, or at one of our other off-campus centers. Initial assignment may be at one of our teaching locations, but the official work station assignment may change each semester. The successful applicant will be certified and fully use the course management system (eLearn) for all classes, attend required meetings, report attendance, early alert notifications, and final grades prior to the established deadline, and communicate curriculum or personnel changes as appropriate to their assigned chair or dean.
This position reports to the Chair of Business & Technology and Dean of Arts, Sciences, & Technologies.
- Teach assigned courses for the discipline in Covington, Dyersburg, and/or Paris.
- Prepare course materials.
- Evaluate student learning, maintain class records, and submit required reports on time.
• Sedentary desk work; occasional travel may be required for college or program activities.
Required Qualifications- Transfer courses:
Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with 18 graduate semester hours in Business. - Non-transfer courses:
Bachelor’s degree with previous teaching experience or graduate work required. - Ability to communicate effectively with students and other college personnel.
