Overview

McDowell Center for Children is seeking a dynamic and talented HR DIRECTOR
. The HR DIRECTOR has the primary responsibility for administering all the professional and administrative functions of Human Resources. This individual will provide a wide variety of both complex and routine HR services including recruiting, position descriptions, benefits administration, leave management, new employee orientation, record-keeping, performance evaluation program, exit interviews, HR metrics, employee activities, training, licensing and compliance reporting.

McDowell Center is a 28-bed residential treatment facility located in Dyersburg, Tennessee, for adolescent males experiencing mental health, behavioral, and/or substance abuse issues. Our staff is made up of licensed therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, and counselors who offer 24-hour support for our patients. We provide young men with the skills they need to improve their thinking patterns, make healthier choices, and create new futures with improved outlooks and outcomes.

Position Summary
The HR DIRECTOR has the primary responsibility for administering all the professional and administrative functions of Human Resources. This individual will be responsible for providing a wide variety of both complex and routine administrative and HR services which include but are not limited to recruiting, position descriptions, benefits administration, leave management, new employee orientation, record-keeping, performance evaluation program, exit interviews, HR metrics, employee activities, training, licensing and compliance reporting.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development or related field.

Experience: A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in human resources, preferably in a health care setting; or any combination of education, training or experience in a hospital business office.

Certification/Licensure: Professional certification PHR/SPHR preferred.

Additional Requirements: Experience with full-cycle recruiting and the use of applicant tracking systems (ATS) highly preferred. Ability to work occasional overtime and flexible hours as requested.
