Security Officer – School Patrol Driver

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol the campus to help create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your visible presence will help to deter security‑related incidents, and you will provide outstanding customer service while responding to various situations. This role requires driving responsibilities as you navigate the location to support a positive and welcoming atmosphere in an educational setting.

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, adhering to site‑specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations on campus in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational facility and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any security‑related incidents or hazards found during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to help deter potential disruptions and provide reassurance to students, staff, and visitors.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification when required, and reporting any irregularities.
• Work collaboratively with campus staff and Allied Universal team members to address security‑related concerns and provide a secure environment for all occupants.

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
