Responsibilities
Universal Health Services (UHS):
One of the nation's largest and most respected providers of hospital and healthcare services. McDowell Center for Children (a UHS facility) is a 28-bed residential treatment facility located in Dyersburg, Tennessee, for adolescent males experiencing mental health, behavioral, and/or substance abuse issues. Our staff includes licensed therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, and counselors who offer 24-hour support for our patients. We provide young men with the skills they need to improve their thinking patterns, make healthier choices, and create new futures with improved outlooks and outcomes.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Cook is responsible for the preparation and service of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals for patients and facility staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets with rotating shifts mostly weekends.
Qualifications- Education:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred. - Experience:
Two (2) years' experience in quantity cooking, preferred; basic knowledge of modified diets; training in food service sanitation and possession of a food service food handler's permit as required; experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils.
