Youth and Young Adult Ministries Coordinator

Our Youth & Young Adult Ministries Coordinator partners with fellow staff and a number of parishioners to form faithful disciples of Jesus Christ from youth through young adulthood. Several responsibilities are particular to this position, and several are shared with our Youth Formation & Confirmation Preparation Coordinator.
Particular to this position:
- Facilitate Parish Young Adult Ministry (small groups, events)
- Encourage Graduates’ Connections with Campus Ministries
- Develop Connections with Newman Centers and St. Paul’s Outreach
- Coordinate Annual Blessing of Graduates
- Facilitate Discipleship Pathway from Adolescence through Adulthood
- Collaborate with Family Events Coordinator
- Participate with Vacation Bible School
Shared responsibilities:
- Facilitate Dynamic Youth Groups
- Schedule and Plan Youth Retreats, and Assist with Leadership Retreats
- Coordinate Summer Youth Ministries (Extreme Faith Camp, Steubenville Youth Conference)
- Develop and Support Adult and Peer Leaders
- Facilitate Youth Gift Discernment and Connections
- Facilitate Streamlined Discipleship Pathways:
Youth through Adulthood - Organize and Facilitate Youth Social/Service Activities
- Connect with Faithful Shepherd Catholic School (and area schools)

Qualifications- Prayerful Catholic witness to Jesus Christ.
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in ministry, education, theology, philosophy, psychology, sociology.
- Prefer 3+ years paid or unpaid parish youth ministry experience; children’s ministry considered.
- Knowledge, understanding, articulation, and defense of Catholic teaching.
- Desire and ability to engage with youth individually and in groups.
- Excellent interpersonal and group communication skills, including public speaking.
- Strong desire and ability to work in partnership, develop leaders, and be engaged in team ministry.
- Organized; able to manage tasks and projects with overlapping timelines.
- $45,000-$48,000
