Position Overview
The Process Engineer is responsible for supporting Gopher's manufacturing through the development and implementation of process techniques to identify and resolve manufacturing problems while maintaining quality standards through engineering methodology, data collection and analysis. This role reports directly to the Process Systems Manager.
Critical Success Factors- Develop, document, maintain, and standardize production floor processes and procedures to facilitate production
- Continuously improve manual and automated production processes
- Comply with and support all department and corporate policies and procedures, EHS and OSHA guidelines
- Build, implement and train on new Alarm Management Systems for the operations teams
- Build, implement and train on new Shift Log and Shift Handover Systems for the operations teams
- Ensure all processes adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards
- Create and maintain SOPs, technical reports, and process documentation
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (operations, engineering, maintenance, ect.) to support process improvements
- Provide technical support and training for various systems
- Evaluate existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements
- Conduct experiments, simulations, and risk assessments to validate process changes
- Organize and manage multiple projects & tasks to assure high quality and timely service to all internal and external customers
- Follows detailed direction to prepare changes, additions, and modifications which will facilitate manufacturing
- Perform all other related duties as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited College or University
- At least 1 year of previous work experience in engineering role
- Strong data analysis and failure cause analysis aptitudes
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 25%
- Willingness and ability to wear full-face respirator mask (clean shaven if applicable) with or without reasonable accommodation
- Willingness and ability to work in a hot/high temperature production facility with or without reasonable accommodation
- Willingness and ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas with or without reasonable accommodation
Salary Range: $99,304 to $163,759. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive plan which is determined by the achievement of strategic objectives. The market rate for the role is typically at the midpoint of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as candidate qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
