Role and Responsibilities

Join our dynamic finance team as a Senior Accountant, where you'll be a key player in supporting strategic financial initiatives and enhancing our organization's growth. This role offers the opportunity to lead critical financial processes, influence decision-making, and contribute to high-impact projects. We are seeking a proactive individual with exceptional analytical skills, a strategic mindset, and a commitment to collaboration with others.

  • Lead monthly accounting activities, ensuring timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts for month-end close.
  • Prepare, analyze, and review complex general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies within the general ledger, providing insightful responses to inquiries.
  • Analyze financial results to identify variances and trends, supporting critical estimates such as accruals and reserves.
  • Develop and publish custom reports, utilizing data visualization software to enhance financial analysis.
  • Drive ad hoc projects and reporting to support strategic finance department objectives.
  • Design and maintain sophisticated financial models to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Evaluate financial performance against annual plans and forecasts, providing strategic insights.
  • liIdentify and implement process improvements to optimize financial operations.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives, contributing to organizational growth.

$75,000-$100,000 + discretionary bonus + employee ownership + benefits

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, ideally in a dynamic organization with a focus on strategic financial planning and project budgeting.
  • Expertise in accounting software and ERP systems, with experience in import/export functions.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of implementing innovative solutions.
  • Experience in leading software system implementations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Operates in a professional office environment, routinely using standard office equipment.
  • Frequently required to sit, with occasional need kneel, reach, stoop, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to lift files, open file cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
  • May occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
