Talent Acquisition Supervisor at Factory Motor Parts
Primary responsibilities are to lead and manage the Cash Application team in analyzing A/R processes and procedures, ensuring accurate cash application to customer accounts, minimizing errors and rework, and driving continuous process improvements through coaching, oversight, and accountability.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Cash Applications Supervisor will have content expertise in the following areas and will be responsible for the following reporting and communication requirements as deemed appropriate by the Senior Manager – Cash Apps.
- Originate, lead, and/or participate in projects designed to improve Cash Application processes, including providing guidance and oversight to Cash Application team members.
- Accurately apply cash to customer accounts in the most efficient way possible.
- Reconcile customer remittance information and appropriately apply all cash to customer accounts using customer remittance information provided, or through Excel spreadsheets and High Radius uploads into the A/R system.
- Help ensure the integrity of all the cash application systems and processes.
- Participate in and lead projects designed to improve cash application processes or procedures, as well as related processes that affect cash application accuracy and timeliness.
- Establish regular communication of appropriate A/R and Cash Application information with the Senior Manager – Cash Apps, including team performance, workload, and process improvement opportunities.
- Effectively communicate Cash Application information (metrics, performance, areas of concentration/improvement) to all levels of management as requested.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to Cash Application team members, fostering professional development and consistent performance.
- Provide assistance to location managers, sales people, and customer service on cash application issues.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships and clear communication with other departments to support efficient cash application operations.
- Research and review customer remittances and deductions to assist with accurate application to the A/R system.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new Cash Application team members.
- All other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Advanced knowledge of Access, Microsoft Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel (macros, pivot tables, v lookups)
- Familiarity with High Radius Cash Application preferred
- Advanced knowledge of accounting and reconciliation skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Experience developing or utilizing online cash application software, with the ability to evaluate existing processes and identify improvement opportunities to increase cash application match rates.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) for collaboration and building relationships with internal teams and external customers
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, customer focus
- Must be able to multi-task while still detail oriented and self-motivated
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
- 1 or more years of lead or supervisor experience preferred
- 1-5 years of office experience working in A/R or Cash Applications in a high volume, fast paced environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed on-site in a Company office building in Eagan, Minnesota.
