The pay range for this position is $30.00-$46.64 based on direct and relevant experience.
RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist, you will be responsible for the operation of assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.
This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday from 2:30pm-11:00pm, includes weekend rotation (no call and willing to train in MR). This role is also available working part-time in a 0.8 or 0.9 status.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Screen patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure.
- Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned.
- Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal supervision or repeated scans, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure.
- Adjust MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed.
- Follow physicians' orders precisely, conform to safety regulations, and accurately maintain patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Maintain an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment, promoting good safety habits for patients and team members.
- Maintain equipment in good working order; clean and disinfect equipment after each use.
- Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
- Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
- Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
- Assist in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable.
Completes other tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications- High School diploma, or equivalent.
- Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
- ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need.
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
- Certification in imaging specialty.
- Bilingual.
