Human Resources Generalist

Salary: $60,000 – $65,000 per year
Job Summary: Northwest Respiratory Services is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to support HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, recordkeeping, and general HR support. The role will serve staff across multiple long‑term care, assisted‑living, Veterans, and community settings.

Key Responsibilities- Manage recruitment and onboarding: post jobs, maintain hiring records, oversee EEO/AA compliance, facilitate pre‑screening, interviews, new hire orientation, I‑9/E‑Verify, travel coordination, and job offers.
- Serve as employee relations resource: handle newsletters, maintain personnel and medical files, administer MVR checks, manage Respiratory Therapist licenses, oversee drug testing programs and record updates.
- Support compliance and reporting: assist with annual state and federal reports, affirmative action plans and audits; update benefits, process terminations, final checks, and COBRA.
- Provide general HR support: coordinate employee perks and recognition events, manage unemployment and workers’ comp claims, assist in policy updates, provide administrative support for special projects and other assigned tasks.
- Minimum 1 year of HR experience in a multi‑site environment.
- Experience managing relationships with benefit brokers and carriers.
- Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment, multi‑task, and communicate effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of HR experience.
- Computer/data entry skills; experience with HRIS systems.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
