Vice President, Employee Technology & AI

Thomson Reuters is seeking a transformative technology leader to define and deliver the AI‑enabled future of work for our global workforce. This role owns the platforms, services, and experiences that power employee productivity, collaboration, and support across 70+ countries. You will lead a large global organization responsible for modern workplace engineering, AI agent and automation platforms, endpoint ecosystems, collaboration systems, experience management, and strategic vendor partnerships.

What

You’ll Lead Unify and Elevate the Employee Experience
  • Build a seamless end‑to‑end experience across devices, locations, and roles
  • Deliver a world‑class desktop experience balancing performance, security, and usability
  • Implement DEX and AIOps capabilities for proactive support and continuous improvement
  • Shift the organization from SLA‑driven to XLA‑driven outcomes with transparent experience metrics
  • Deploy and optimize AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and ChatGPT
  • Enable AI‑powered search and automation through RAG pipelines and vector search
  • Automate workflows and processes to reduce manual work and accelerate outcomes
  • Measure AI usage, productivity impact, engagement time, and workflow efficiency
  • Deliver measurable improvements in cycle time, ticket deflection, FCR, and employee NPS
Establish AI Governance and Platform Foundations
  • Partner with HR, Legal, Cybersecurity, and Risk to define responsible AI use
  • Implement observability, auditability, and guardrails to manage risk while enabling innovation
Deliver Modern Collaboration & Productivity Platforms
  • Operate and optimize Microsoft 365 and other core collaboration systems
  • Drive adoption, interoperability, low‑code governance, and value realization
  • Manage strategic vendor partnerships to optimize cost, performance, and innovation
Own the Device, Identity, and Endpoint Ecosystem
  • Deliver exceptional experiences across desktops, mobile, and VDI/DaaS
  • Standardize and automate lifecycle management, provisioning, and self‑healing endpoints
  • Strengthen identity and endpoint security through modern practices (EDR/XDR, UEM/MDM, MFA/SSO)
Build the Workforce of the Future
  • Partner with HR and L&D on AI fluency programs and role‑based enablement
  • Define skills frameworks and career paths for AI, automation, product, and platform engineering roles
  • Coach and grow high‑performing global engineering, support, and product teams
  • Align technology investments with enterprise strategy and workforce priorities
  • Translate business outcomes into product roadmaps, OKRs, and experience scorecards
  • Manage budgets and vendor ecosystems while ensuring strong ROI and continuous innovation
What You Bring
  • 10–15 years leading workplace technology in large, complex global organizations
  • Strong engineering and technical foundation with experience scaling AI‑enabled productivity tools
  • Proven success deploying tools like Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT Pro and measuring business impact
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft 365, collaboration platforms, endpoint platforms, and identity ecosystems
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts (LLMs, RAG, prompt design, evaluation) and how to operationalize them
  • Experience implementing endpoint agents and data frameworks for usage, productivity, and engagement analytics
  • Demonstrated ability to build business cases, measure productivity with and without AI, and drive ROI
  • Leadership experience across engineering, support, and platform operations
  • Executive‑level communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience deploying Copilot, Gemini/Duet, Service Now Virtual Agent, Agentic Workflows or DEX/AIOps platforms

Location: Minneapolis, Dallas, or New York City (hybrid work model)
