Team Leader III Marketing and Communications
Provides strategic leadership support to Marketing/Communications employees, aligning service delivery with core business goals and ensuring operational efficiency, cost‑effectiveness, and process optimization.
Responsibilities- Leads shared services resources to achieve internal client support, performance metrics, and workflow optimization.
- Oversees daily team activities to ensure smooth workflow, quality production, and timely delivery.
- Manages cross‑functional shared services teams and major initiatives.
- Serves as contact for employee onboarding, performance, engagement, time‑card approval, payroll authorisations and departures.
- Works with operations leaders on staffing forecasts and workforce planning.
- Monitors, mentors, coaches and trains direct reports to meet performance and service delivery targets.
- Delegates responsibilities and communicates policies to staff.
- Initiates or authorises employee hire, promotion or termination.
- Coordinates with area managers and other leaders to resolve resource/support issues.
- Promotes a project delivery excellence culture focused on process optimisation, continuous improvement, client satisfaction, technology adoption and quality.
- Prepares reports, records and directives for workforce planning and process improvement.
- Maintains documentation for performance improvement and coaching discussions.
- Acts as organisational change agent, presenting business cases and administering policies.
- Manages moderate‑to‑significant employee relations matters and escalates as needed.
- Supports performance management strategies (PIP, development plans).
- Provides technical subject‑matter expertise to improve staff knowledge and deliverable quality.
- Prepares detailed reports and presentations on staff and unit performance.
- Maintains personal productivity targets.
- Ensures staff training and compliance with KLJ policies.
- Stays current in technical discipline and leadership development practices.
- Collaborates with shared‑services disciplines to identify integration opportunities.
- Exercises responsible decision‑making regarding company resources and adheres to professional conduct.
- Performs additional responsibilities as required by business.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, or related major, or equivalent experience in a shared services field within A/C.
- 12+ years of post‑education experience in a shared services people‑leadership role.
- Proficient understanding of shared services principles, processes and best practices in A/E/C.
- Advanced analytical, organisational and business acumen.
- Strong relationships with operational and shared‑services functions.
- Exceptional critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills with people‑management principles.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with leadership and employees.
- Self‑leadership with attention to detail, multitasking and adaptability.
- Experience guiding mid‑ to senior‑level teams with strict QA/QC adherence.
- Proficient in technical writing, MS Office, SharePoint, Visio, project‑management tools.
- Experience reviewing and approving documents and preparing management deliverables.
- Ability to coordinate resources and direct staff to complete tasks efficiently.
- Willingness to work schedules that accommodate project requirements.
- Occasional travel may be required.
The employee must sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle objects, and lift 10‑25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds infrequently.
Hours and Travel40 hours per week; 90% of time in office and 10% field.
