Quality Assurance Technician

Position Overview

We are hiring for Quality Assurance Technician across all shifts.

Plymouth, MN

Base: $21.00/hr
Shift differential of $2.00 applies to 3rd shift.

1st shift: 5am-1:30pm
3rd shift: 9pm-5:30am

• Direct day‑to‑day quality and food safety activities.
• Adjust quantities and verify all ingredients and materials in the ERP System (PLEX).
• Ensure compliance with SQF, HACCP, GMP, SSOP, and other policies through the ERP System and required paper forms.
• Communicate quality control expectations to all employees.
• Conduct metal detector challenges, sensory evaluations, and verify calibration of all scales and thermometers.
• Monitor GMP compliance and perform basic lab analysis (pH, moisture).
• Assist in problem‑solving by analyzing data, investigating issues, recommending solutions, and supporting training for GMP.
• Document quality issues in daily QA reports and send reports at the end of each shift.

• Communicate effectively with team members from other shifts.
• Participate in Food Safety and Food Defense activities.
• Perform additional duties as directed.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Post‑high‑school training in laboratory sciences or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 1–3 years experience in food quality, including GMP, HACCP, food safety, sanitation, data collection/analysis, and laboratory skills.
• Experience with SQF is preferred.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and solid math skills.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• English language proficiency, written and verbal.
