Production Supervisor – Medical Device Manufacturing
Are you ready to take the lead in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment? We’re looking for a Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing and assembly operations for innovative medical devices that are transforming patient care. This role is critical to ensuring production schedules are met, quality standards are upheld, and operational efficiency is optimized.
As a Production Supervisor, you will manage and mentor a team of technicians, coordinate with contract manufacturers, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support new product introductions. You will play a key role in implementing lean manufacturing principles, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and QSR standards.
What You’ll Do- Lead and develop a production team, setting priorities and ensuring safety and quality protocols are followed.
- Oversee assembly, testing, and packaging of medical devices to meet aggressive timelines.
- Manage inventory levels and production metrics to prevent delays and optimize workflow.
- Collaborate with quality teams on NCRs and CAPA processes, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Work closely with external manufacturing partners to maintain quality and delivery standards.
- Drive process improvements and cost efficiencies using lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Maintain accurate documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in production supervision within the medical device industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with hands‑on experience in cleanroom environments.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations, ISO 13485, and QSR requirements.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and continuous improvement tools.
- Experience in a startup or high‑growth environment.
- Certifications in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions quickly.
