A to Z Building Blocks Early Care & Education is hiring an Infant & Toddler Teacher to join our warm, supportive daycare team. If you’re passionate about child care and early childhood education, and you love working with infants and young toddlers, we’d love to meet you.
Position overviewThis childcare teaching role supports infants and toddlers in a safe, nurturing classroom. We’re looking for a caring infant teacher who enjoys hands‑on teaching, building relationships with families, and working closely with a Lead Teacher, a teacher assistant, and support staff.
What you’ll do- Provide high‑quality child care in a clean, safe environment that helps infants and toddlers feel secure and supported
- Support daily routines including bottles/feeding, diapering, naps, handwashing, and smooth transitions
- Plan and lead developmentally appropriate learning experiences (sensory play, songs, stories, fine motor, and early social‑emotional skills) using a responsive teaching approach
- Share daily updates with families in a friendly, professional way
- Collaborate with your classroom team (including a teacher assistant and support staff) to keep the day running smoothly
- Follow safety and licensing standards, including daily cleaning and sanitizing of toys, surfaces, and classroom material
- Monday‑Friday availability
- Center hours are 6:00am‑6:30pm (your schedule will fall within these hours)
- Full‑time opportunities available
- Must be 18+ and able to pass a background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid and Food Handlers Permit (or willingness to obtain)
- Willingness to complete required child care training hours
- Dependable attendance, positive attitude, and strong communication skills
- Comfortable working in a busy child care or childcare setting with infants and toddlers
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and move quickly throughout the day
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and get up/down from the floor as needed
- Supportive leadership and a welcoming team culture for teachers
