Our client is a leading manufacturer specializing in advanced composite utility structures. Their products provide a lighter, stronger, and longer-lasting alternative to wood, steel, and concrete and are used by customers across North America and 30+ countries. They are seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to join their team in St. George, UT
.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary quality liaison between customers and internal leadership
  • Manage customer complaints, returns, and quality cases from initial review through resolution
  • Lead 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, and other root cause investigations
  • Communicate corrective action findings and progress to customers
  • Prepare 8D reports, corrective action reports, and customer documentation
  • Interpret customer drawings, technical specifications, and contractual requirements
  • Investigate manufacturing and field product issues
  • Analyze returns, warranty claims, and defect data to identify trends
  • Support customer and internal ISO 9001:2015 audits
  • Develop customer-specific inspection and test plans
  • Participate in first article inspections for new customers and product variations
  • Lead Lean and Six Sigma improvement projects
  • Work with suppliers to resolve issues involving purchased parts and raw materials
  • Verify supplier corrective actions and quality requirements

    Support incoming inspection and receiving quality activities
  • Partner with Engineering, Production, Procurement, and SQE on quality issues
  • Maintain quality records and documentation
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 or similar quality management systems
  • Experience with industrial, metal, composite, or similar products preferred
  • Customer-facing or supplier quality experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience with ERP or NCR systems is a plus
  • Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, Minitab, or control chart experience is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel to customer job sites as needed
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and adaptability
