Essential Job Functions
  • Bag groceries at checkout and strive for at least five items without damage.
  • Follow best bagging practices for reusable, plastic, and paper bags.
  • Assist with removing customer merchandise from bascarts and offer help with loading bags into cars.
  • Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of specials.
  • Return merchandise to shelves, gather bascarts, and clean spills and trash inside and outside the store.
  • Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise and conduct price checks for cashiers.
  • Adhere to all safety and food‑safety regulations, report unsafe conditions and incidents.
  • Provide a welcoming environment by answering product questions.
  • Work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, sometimes stressful environment.
  • Manage conflict calmly, act with honesty and integrity, and seek help when needed.
  • Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults in customer interactions.
  • Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Position Qualifications
  • Customer service skills.
  • Effective communication skills.

  • Retail experience preferred but not required.
