Grid Technologies Sales Director, Datacenter

Join Siemens Energy as the Datacenter Segment Sales Director for Grid Technologies in North America, where you will lead a dynamic sales team focused on driving revenue growth and expanding market share in the datacenter segment. You will collaborate closely with regional and business leadership to prioritize high-value pursuits and enhance profitable order entry across our comprehensive portfolio. By shaping and expanding the pipeline, you will position Siemens Energy as the go-to partner for electrification and industrial energy transition.

Your role will emphasize developing your field sales team, strengthening customer relationships, expanding access to decision-makers, and aligning our offerings with their needs for reliability, sustainability, and operational efficiency.

• Manage and retain a team of datacenter-focused sales and account managers.

• Deliver financial targets by continuously identifying and closing new opportunities with consultative support for Grid Technology products and services.

• Maintain a deep understanding of the portfolio and datacenter market, coordinating with business units to provide accurate sales forecasts and cross-functional value propositions.

• Develop and execute a customer strategy that highlights pain points and buying behaviors, ensuring alignment with Siemens Energy stakeholders.

• Lead the team in executing the sales process by influencing decision-makers and serving as the primary contact for customer relationships and new opportunities, while managing contract negotiations for favorable agreements.

• Establish and maintain customer relationships at all organizational levels, engaging early with potential partners and facilitating executive sponsor meetings.

• Foster an ownership culture by promoting safety and accountability within client organizations, while driving personal and professional development goals for your team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration.

• 10 or more years of experience in datacenter sales, key account leadership, and commercial strategy. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice versa.

• Proven track record in leading regional or national sales organizations and managing multi-billion-dollar pipelines across markets.

• Extensive commercial experience in core industries such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, refining, metals & mining, and other energy-intensive sectors.

• Strong understanding of the Siemens Energy Grid Technologies portfolio, with experience selling complex solutions across products, systems, and long-term service programs.

• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term customer partnerships at the executive level.

• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) with experience engaging global stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across matrixed organizations, influencing strategic decision-making.

Willing and able to travel up to 50% domestically, with occasional international travel to manufacturing or project locations.
